Setting up a Research Request to Replace Lost Content

Take the following steps when a new research request to replace lost library content has been received in the Content Deletions queue, and content curation is required.

  1. From the original request, start by adding a subtask, with the new name in this format: CJS/200 v3 - Research Starters Replacement.
  2. Assign yourself to the task.
  3. Add to LRR Queue.
    • Press Tab + P to open the Projects field and select Content: Library Research & Resources to add it to the LRR queue.
    • Apply the Something’s Broken template.
  4. Change Library Status from Not Started to Initial Review.
  5. Create a template to merge with the new request:
    • Copy the task link in the newly-created subtask.
    • In the upper-left, click the arrow next to "Add New," then click on Something’s Broken. Allow a few seconds for the template to fully develop. When complete, Asana will display a small "Template X was created successfully notification."
    • In newly-created task template, click the 3 dots in upper-right, then on Merge Duplicate Tasks.
    • Paste previously-copied link into field, then select the Asana task that displays below that.
    • At the top, click on the linked statement with this formatting: "Closed and merged into CJS/200 v3 – Research Starters Replacement." To complete the merge, you must click on that link. Once clicked, your task will be properly formatted and ready for processing.
