Dr. Chung encourages counselors and others in the helping profession to move beyond the walls of their institution and make real change in their community through social justice action efforts. Dr. Chung shares about her social justice work internationally, the earthquake in Haiti, the tsunami in Thailand, and her efforts to abolish child trafficking in Burma and globally.
Mentoring is not a "one size fits all" approach, therefore one needs to consider the unique characteristics of each mentee, especially their cultural history. This promotion of sensitivity to cultural differences across educational environments can be both illuminating and inspiring for both the mentor and mentee.
