New Employee - Technical On-Boarding


Email Distribution Lists and Groups

Add the employee to these email groups in Outlook. You will need to submit a ticket to the University Service Desk.

  • CTL - All - Team
  • CTL - Curriculum - Team
  • CTL - University Library - Team
  • DG C-APO-Corporate-University Library
  • DG C-UOP-AcademicAffairs-University Library
  • Provost - All Staff - Team

Add the employee to these groups in Teams.

  • Library Chat
  • Any team-specific chats

System Access

Determine what systems the employee needs access to and the level of access needed, including library specific systems.

  • Asana (can be invited by a library Asana super user)
  • Blackboard – Must be done by that person’s manager, an individual cannot request access on behalf of themselves or someone else
  • LibAnswers (Systems Librarian)
  • LibGuides (Systems Librarian)
  • LibWizard (Systems Librarian)
  • Library inbox
  • My Phoenix student/faculty portal

SharePoint Admin

Add the new employee to the SharePoint group.



Train on appropriate systems and processes (as needed).
