Can you believe it’s been a whole year already? Neither can we!
One year ago today, we launched Keeping Up with the Librarians, and what a year it’s been! We made it through a pandemic, transitioned to a new work environment, and learned to take a mask with us on the rare times we left the house. And we managed to blog our way through it all. Tips on how to survive the holidays while simultaneously trying to figure out your kids’ math homework…we were right there with you.
For us here in the library, July is when we start to wrap up our fiscal year and plan for the future…or at least the next few months. A handful of us will shut ourselves in an hours-long meeting to review what we’ve accomplished in the past year, all of the awesome things we’d like to do, and what projects we can realistically get done over the next few quarters (because, despite our best efforts, we aren’t actual superhumans).
We do have several big projects underway, some of which you’ll start to see the fruits of in the coming months. So, keep an eye out on this space for updates!
On another note, first anniversary gifts are historically made of paper, and Tabitha, our project manager, said she’d give me a dollar (aka, paper) if I used the word Blogiversary in this post, which I just did. So, pay up! I will also accept chocolate in place of actual currency.
