Level 1

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Answers that require the least amount of effort
  • Basic knowledge of Asana
  • No consultation of resources
  • Less than 15 minutes
  • Verifying a broken link
  • Submitting a ticket to OPS: Curriculum Issues regarding a broken link
  • Transferring a task to another queue

Level 2

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Research involves minimum knowledge of resources
  • No extensive digging is need
  • Answers may need nominal resource consultation
  • Limited or no contact with ID for clarification; clarification can be done via Asana
  • Locating 1:1 replacement for specific content item, e.g. NYT web article replaced with library article
  • Verifying a resource is mentioned by name in Blackboard, submitting a ticket for a change with OPS: Curriculum issues

Level 3

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Scope and context is clearly specified in the original request
  • No meeting between ID and librarian needed
  • Knowledge of collection and basic research skills required
  • Minimal research required and done within library resources
  • Curating 1-2 specific content items with clear scope
  • Verifying availability and providing UOPX library links for ID/SME provided citations

Level 4

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Scope and context of original request needs clarification
  • Discussion/clarification between ID and librarian needed
  • Research requires consultation of multiple databases and strong search skills
  • Strong knowledge of collection needed
  • Research/task requires minimal library managerial oversight
  • Course curation request of average complexity and scope: 100-200 level courses, 3-5 resources per week, 5-6 weeks
  • Zero to one minor research revision requested
  • Review of past LRR and/or CDG and understanding of CSLOs and PSLOs needed prior to research

Level 5

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Scope and context of original request needs clarification
  • Live (and possibly multiple) discussions/clarifications between ID and librarian needed
  • Research requires consultation of multiple library databases and/or external sources
  • Strong knowedge of collection and advanced search skills needed
  • Request requires significant research time and librarian review of resources found
  • Research/task involves some library managerial oversight
  • Course curation request of higher complexity and/or scope: 300-600 level courses, substantial curriculum support
  • Two or more revisions to research requested
  • Multiple researchers consulted
  • Extensive content review needed
  • Requests for OER content or multimedia found outside the UOPX collection
  • External resources are vetted for copyright clearance during the search

Level 6

READ SCALE EXAMPLES
  • Scope and context of original request needs clarification
  • Live (and possibly multiple) discussions/clarifications between ID and librarian needed
  • Research requires consultation of multiple library databases and/or external sources
  • Extensive knowedge of collection and advanced search skills needed
  • Request requires extensive research time and extensive librarian review of resources found
  • Research/task involves significant library managerial oversight
  • Special internal research projects
  • Curation & research for whole text replacements (e.g. anthologies, "let's use OER" requests)
  • Doctoral (700-900 level) research
  • Requests for "library only" content to support a course
