Welcome to RES/709

The purpose of this course is to present the components of a doctoral dissertation; an original research project signifying the final phase of your practitioner doctoral program. In this course, you will learn about the various components of a dissertation and begin the dissertation planning process. Writing a dissertation entails several interrelated components:

  • Identifying a research problem
  • Reviewing the literature to identify knowledge gap(s)
  • Developing a research purpose
  • Formulating research questions
  • Selecting a research method and design

In this course, you will have the opportunity to start thinking about a topic you would like to address and begin the exciting dissertation writing journey.
