EED/430: Elementary Methods - Social Studies

In Artefact Pursuit children play a board game which encourages them to ask searching questions about objects from the past. They must also start to generate their own research questions and get research underway using books and the internet.

A demonstration of how thinking skills can help both independent and group learning. The effectiveness of this strategy is supported by research. A year 8 class are asked to investigate the notorious death of a king.
